Walking Stick
Hand carved wooden walking stick that widens towards the top and ends in a wooden knob, the knob or handle is carved into a dog on one end and a duck on the other; carved along and encircling the entire length is a snake, body has a repeating design of diamonds; carved between the coils of the snake, 'Made by Austrian Prisoner of War in Internment Camp at Edgewood B.C.' and 'February 29th, 1916'; on the head of the snake is a heart. and above the head is a wreath with the intials, 'J. G.'. Tip area with broken portion.
