Stein
Buff color clay body, heavy, thick walled mug with white opaque glaze inside, clear glossy glaze on outside with a large transfer printed image in black on the outside wall. Scene depicted is the hotel building with trees in the background. In the foreground is a man in a rowboat out on the lake. At the top of the scene are the words "St. Alice Hotel". On the bottom are the words "Harrison Hot Springs British Columbia". Impressed into the side wall near the top of the handle is "1/4L". On the bottom are a number of impressed letters and words. Most are illegible but the ones that can be made out include "MEITLAC", "GFS - GESCH", "REG.U.S.PAT.OFF", "MADE IN GERMANY", "1909 V".
