Colour drawing of a German soldier standing beside a young woman. He is wearing an officer's uniform, spiked helmet and a sword. His uniform has been edged in red which has been hand-coloured. The young woman is wearing a short-sleeved light green dress edged with white lace at the neckline. Nothing is written on the back of the postcard. Front is edged with a narrow .2 cm border of red, black and white. Religious and patriotic sentiment printed on the front. Belonged to an unidentified German soldier who was a prisoner of war in England during WWI. Was contained in a wallet (964.4837.1) which had sixteen items in it (photographs, postcards, pencil drawings, etc.). Items are numbered 964.4837.2 to 964.4837.17.
