White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a wider maroon color band and a thin maroon band on the outer perimeter of the plate. Inside the banding is a maroon color garter design element with the words "Terminal Steamship Company" on it. In the center of the garter is a flag consisting of a maroon field width a diagonal white stripe running corner to corner and bearing the letters "T.S.S.Co". On the bottom are the maker's stamp in green and the distributor's stamp in maroon.
