White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a thin band near the outer rim and a complex geometric and floral - transfer printed band also on the rim. A gap in the band holds the word "Metropolis". The maker and distributor's mark appears in black on the bottom. Impressed in to the bottom is "4.30D".
