White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a thin gold color band around the outer edge of the rim. Inside the band is a shield in the same color. On the shield are the words "Hotel Devonshire". On the bottom are the words "Syralite/Syracuse/China of/Canada/74" stamped in green.
