Plate
Porcelain clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of an under-glaze decal made up of a wide band with gold colored edges and black Greek key design interrupted up at evenly spaced intervals by a floral square. On the outer edge of the band and the rim of the plate are two over-glaze gold bands. On inside of decorative banding is a black transfer ring shape decoration with a ribbon weaving through the ring. the ring contains the words "J.W. Robinson" The ribbon contains the word "caterer", inside the ring are the words "Victoria/B.C." On the bottom of the plate is a green color transfer image of the words "Imperial Porcelain"/ a crown/"Wedgwood & Co Ltd"/"England". Hand applied in black are the following. "C"? "24 2"/"4/". Impressed into bottom are the numbers "1"/"12" and others which are not legible.
