Plate
White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Mid-green banding on upper surface. Wide band on edge of plate well and five evenly spaced,
concentric, thin green bands out to rim of plate. Gap in the thin bands contains the letters "HBC" in Art Deco style. In combination with the banding, the overall effect is Art Deco. On bottom is a black transfer of the maker's mark consisting of a ring surmounted by a crown. Around the ring are the words. "Ridgways/Shelton.England" In the center of the ring is "EST'D/1792" Above the crown is the word "Vitrified" Impressed into the bottom are the numbers "19.40"There is some crazing of the glaze on the bottom of the plate.
