Description
Side Plate
Plain white porcelain with a glass-like overglaze. Decorated with a handpainted fine line in gold colour .6 cm from the edge of the round plate, followed by a space of .1 cm on the outside of the line, then a .3 cm gold-coloured band around the rim of the plate. Three of the side plates, 2006.44.1M, 2006.44.1N, and 2006.44.1 O (the letter O), are replacements. They have the gold-coloured band around the rim, but not the fine line inside this band. Side plate number 2006.44.1N is the only piece out of the entire dinner set which was not manufactured by The Elite Works. This replacement side plate was made by Porcelaine Limousine which used "M. Redon" in red as its decorating mark, and "PL Limoges France" in green as its porcelain mark.
