Description
This large painting depicts a family tree. Two human figures stand united at the centre of the design. Rather than feet, they have roots in the form of Ravens, and rather than arms they have branches that take the same form of Ravens. The artist said of the painting, “I have eight sisters and five brothers and all are represented here as Ravens. The tree is twisted to represent our strength. The roots are Ravens which are our ancestors and the red circles in the tree represent our seeds to show we have a large family tree. The two faces represent our parents, Henry and Helen Hunt. Together, as one tree, we are a strong family.”
