Commemorative Peace Medal
Vancouver Peace Medal; cast one-piece; shield-shape with an attached metal loop at the top; cast into the metal is an elaborate landscape of mountains, a ship, raising sun, a large flower on each side of the landscape, across the bottom is an image of two men standing beside a shield, and a dove flying with a banner in its mouth with the word, 'Peace'; cast into the medal is a lengthy commemorative on the date of the celebration, July-August 1919, and Vancouver as the location and Mayor Gale, as the honorary chairman; in tiny lettering across the bottom on the back, 'O. B. Allan, Vancouver, B. C.
