Dark blue coloured, woven paper made to look like leather, is glued over mid-weight cardstock; pages bound with red coloured twine; on the front cover are vertical columns of red coloured Chinese characters; pages are a light weight paper folded in half with the fold on the outside, each has 16 vertical columns outlined in red, pages are machine printed; some pages have Chinese handwriting in black ink; most pages are blank; across the bottom edge is a row of Chinese handwriting in black ink; one handwritten inscription about one-quarter in from front and the other is near the back; found inside a Royal Bank deposit slip; see research notes.
