Description
Vodka Label
Notes that this product is imported from the USSR, is a Russian vodka, is 40% (70 degree BR. Proof) 37,5 CL, and that it should be cooled before drinking. Information on product a bit vague, but indication was that Moskovskaya (roughly, 'from Moscow') Vodka started at the beinning of the twentieth century and at some point was taken over by the federal government enterprise "Sojuzplodoimport". Though the website on Moskovskaya Vodka notes with pride the fresh Moscow and Volga water, as well as the buds and rungs of trees from Central Russian forests that go into the making of this product, a website on "Sojuzplodoimport" (www.spi.ru/en/press) notes that this enterprise trusted manufactruing of this vodka to a 'shady factory' and that the quality was far from perfect (dates are not given with this information). Product is listed in the LCB price list # 34, June 01, 1972; a bottle (size unlisted) sold for $6.00.
