Rectangular shaped with monogram at top. Cream-coloured, gild all around with white rectangle in centre for name. Back-stamped in blue with sheep and "Dresden/Made in Saxony/impressed number "7844". Dinner service for 12 consists of: 2001.24.1a-l 12 Dinner plates 2001.24.1m-x 12 Luncheon plates 2001.24.1y-aj 12 dessert plates 2001.24.1ak-av 12 sandwich plates 2001.24.1aw-bh 12 side plates 2001.24.1bi-bt 12 fruit cups 2001.24.1bu-cf 12 saucers for boullion cups 2001.24.1cg-cr 12 boullion cups 2001.24.1cs-dd 12 dinner labels 2001.24.1de-dj 6 wine goblets Belonged to Nina and Leigh Salter of Vancouver, B.C. Nina and Leigh were married and six months later Leigh was killed in action in the Second World War. Nina never remarried. Leigh's father was a prominent lawyer in Vancouver, and one of the original partners of Davis & Co.
