Red coloured stoneware; wheel thrown; dark tone brown coloured high gloss overglaze, except for on the bottom and base which are unglazed; short, spherical body with rounded shoulders and a small raised opening in the center; white coloured layered paper around the opening; on one side is machine printed colour label with black coloured Chinese language writing and blue coloured writing, "TIANTIN PRESERVED VEGETABLE"; another side has raised Chinese writing; circular paper machine printed label for the top of the jar (seperate from jar); white coloured background with a small image of the great wall of China, black coloured Chinese language writing, blue coloured English writing, "TIENTSIN PRESERVED, VEGETABLES", and more black coloured Chinese language writing.
