Description
Hat
Main part of the hat is a small flat cap covered with black sequins. The black lace veil has black sequins sewn on in a floral pattern. The veil is only pinned on the cap and may have been added later for a costume. Bottom edge of veil is trimmed with 26 flat, teardrop-shaped pieces made of black plastic and 3 cm in length, one of which has broken off. Small, faceted grey beads sewn onto lace are .1 cm in diameter, and catch the light. Veil is pinned around the cap for about 3/4 of its circumference, and then 48.5 cm of the veil is left hanging down. Two black safety pins 1.9 cm in length are pinned 16 cm from the bottom edge of the veil to give the effect of a gathered area in the lace.
