White clay body with clear glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a black color transfer image of the hotel building on the upper surface of the piece below the rim. Under the image are the words, "King Edward Hotel/Enderby B.C." On bottom is a black circular transfer inside which is the maker's name and the word "vitrified".
