White clay body with glossy glaze applied. Decoration consists of a wide dark-green band and a thin band just below the rim. On the side is the green color transfer print of a moose head, a shield containing three stookes of wheat on a field of green and a banner with the word "Empress" on it. below the shield are the words "Moose Jaw". On the bottom of the piece is the maker's stamp in green.
