Greeting Cards
Three small greeting cards. Cards are pencil drawings of Victoria and Vancouver scenes by the artist, Edward Goodall.
B) Pamir unloading, Vancouver, B.C
C) view from the Malahat Drive, Victoria, B.C.
Provenance
Cards were sent as Christmas cards from Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Palmer of Victoria, BC to their former sewing lady, Miss Minnekeer ("Minty"), who lived in Eastbourne, New Zealand at that time. Miss Minnekeer gave the cards to her friends, the Misses Christie, who in turn gave them to the donor. One Christmas card had the date 1923 on it. Donor has written a note in blue ballpoint ink on the paper backing of the frame. The note gives details of the Palmers and Miss Minnekeer, and how the donor came to be in possession of the cards. See also 2006.33.2, three more small greeting cards in one frame, drawn by Edward Goodall.
