Cape
Woman's short "evening" cape of buff coloured wool (plain weave, heavily fulled to give it a smooth felt-like surface); cut from a single width of 60" fabric; edges are stiffened with a shaped band of the same fabric and nine rows of machine top-stitching; lined with warp-faced satin (silk warp, cotton weft) seamed at centre back and hand stitched in place; collar is cut in six pieces, stiffened with interlining and multiple rows of top-stitching and lined with beaver (?); 4 hooks and eyes are located at the centre front with an attached narrow fur covered band on dome fasteners closing over the neck.
