Description
Bracelet
Woman's Chinese bracelet of silver-coloured metal in a filigree pattern. Has six hinged sections, four of which are each set with a rectangular piece of dark jade. Inside of the bracelet has a stylized floral pattern on each of the hinged sections, and a red backing(?) is visible behind three of the four jade pieces. Tongue and slot type closure, with a 6.5 cm length of fine silver chain joining the two ends. The word "China" is stamped on the tongue part of the closure. Parts A and B are the matching earrings, which are a screw-on type, and each post has "GCRFI (?)" and "STERLING" stamped on the end. Appraiser said that probably only the posts of the earrings were sterling silver, and that all other metal parts of this set of jewelery were a base metal with a silver wash on it, not a true silver-plating process. Part D is the matching ring. Separate records for parts A-B, and for part D.
