Cap Badge
Gilt metal with the crest of the BC Public Health Service. Badge is held in place with a two-pronged pin at the back. According to the "History of Provincial Public Health Nursing Uniforms"(item b of 2003.49.34a-m), the metal crest was designed along with the cloth crest by Inspector Karl Ledeaux of the British Columbia Police in 1947. The gold-coloured metal insignia was worn to the front of the right side of the hat. Duplicate badge numbered 2003.49.6a is made of heavier metal, and is a darker shade of brass.
