Description
Suit
Red satin "disco style" men's suit. (a) Jacket is bomber style, front zip (which does not separate at bottom of zipper), zig zag decoration in white on black across shoulders, and in black on white across front, and black on white around cuffs. The fabric of the zig zag material is more of a weave than satin and is slightly darker and stretchy. (b) Trousers are red satin, fly front, flared leg, plain waistband with no belt loops - for a very tall person. Zippers on both jacket and trousers are "Lightning". Both garments have Christopher Ryan label: beige coloured fabric with woven medium brown letters "CR" with "Christopher Ryan Vancouver" underneath. Christopher Ryan was a Vancouver clothing designer who received a career boost when Warner Brothers was shooting "McCabe & Mrs Miller" in West Vancouver. The studio wanted a local designer to make a dress for the actress, Julie Christie, in order to promote good will for the movie industry in Vancouver. He designed very flashy, trendy clothing.
