Skirt
Traditional style full length Chinese skirt in red satin; hand and machine stitched; a set of 2 flat vertical pleats tacked down along their length are located each side of a central panel both skirt front and skirt back with a cluster of wider open pleats located at side seams; each side seam has an opening 18 cm in length at the waistband; 2 full length lined fabric streamers embroidered and edged with blue binding are attached close to side seams at waistband both skirt front and skirt back; adjustable white cotton waistband with side tabs and ties; phoenix, floral motifs and Chinese cloud designs are worked in satin stitch embroidery on front and back central panels in shades of blue, gold, green, yellow, pink, purple, orange, grey and black with a hemline design in stripes of blues and gold; other embroidery motifs trim skirt hemline and central panel edges.
