Description
Sign
A framed paper sign citing the two rules of the 'government Liquor Act' that deal with drinking in a public place ('for the information of the public'). Two labels stuck to the back: one is from the Dominion Express Co. of Toronto noting the date this object was shipped - July 29, 1926;the other is from the 'Frenston Costume Co. from Toronto - noting a delivery for Angne Campbell & Co. Ltd of 1008-10 government St. (as file # 2003.22.1089 has Angus Campbell written on its back - it can be assumed that Angne may be a typo). The value given is $150.50. Unknown why the delivery tag from a costume company would be on the back of this object.
