Second World War Medal Set
Medal set mounted to metal bar with pin on reverse; consists of 1939-1945 Star; Atlantic Star with France and Germany clasp; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with overseas clasp; and War medal.

Authorization dates for award of medals: 1939-45 Star (July 8, 1943). Atlantic Star (May 1945). France and Germany clasp (May 1945). Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with overseas service clasp (October 22, 1943). War Medal 1939-45 (August 16, 1945).

Medal set belonged to Ian H. Williams, who joined Royal Canadian Navy in Victoria, BC during the Second World War. He served onboard the Minesweeper, HMCS Minas, the vessel Swept, the Beaches off Omaha and Normandy, France.
