Robe
Side closing asymmetrical Chinese style robe of gold coloured silk(?) fabric decorated with embroidery; hand stitched and machine stitched; blue bound neckline; right front side placket closing with seven snaps and ties at the neckline and under the right armhole; long wide kimono style sleeves; interior lined in stiff hemp (?) or linen/cotton; shaped hem with side slits; side seams are open from hemline to underarm; front vertical bright pink fabric bands located at side seams extend upward under each sleeve and continue as detached stiffened protruding wing-like extensions; floral designs, border designs and Chinese symbols are worked in satin stitch embroidery in colours of gold, black and silver along side seams, neckline, hem and sleeve edges; dragons? or Qilin? (Chinese mythological animals) with glass eyes are centered on the front, back and sleeves of the robe; embroidery threads are couched in red thread; vertical loop secured to lining below neck edge; black fabric pads are secured to the lining in the shoulder areas.
