Magic Lantern Slide Projector
Black painted metal body with brass projection barrel and brass-coloured line-work at corners and focusing lens; rear hinge door with removable chimney and lamp base; lamp base has had shoe polish lid added to have reflective surface.

Provenance
Owned by Charles E. Redfern (Mayor of Victoria, 1883, and 1887-1899.). Document file notes that "his granddaughter says [Magic Lantern and accessories] was brought out for the children on very special occasions, from the time her mother as a little girl".
