Backing is one piece of mid-weight paper and the image is a black and white with gray tones, no border; image is taken outside on the lawn with deciduous trees in the background, four rows of women all dressed in First World War nursing uniforms, except for two all the others are seated; photography studio name and addresses are stamped on the back; one nurse on the bottom left is identified as Beatrice Eugenie Bradshaw.
Provenance
Beatrice Eugene "Trixie" Bradshaw joined the Canadian Army Medical Corps as a Nursing sister, June 1, 1918 and served in England during the First World War. Beatrice served until October 13, 1919 at No. 16 Canadian General Hospital, Orpington.
