Postcard
Black and white coloured photographic image, image includes a street scene with buildings, people walking on the street and an arch across the street, the posts on either side are wrapped in fabric? or foliage?, there are small openings in the bottom, a ledge above the opening with potted plants and a Union Jack Flag on the top, the connecting piece in the center is draped in fabric with Chinese language writing above, and "WELCOME", hand painted on the front; machine printed on the back is, "POST CARD, 'REGAL' POSTAL." with a sword? With angel/bird wings, hand written in black coloured ink is, "Dear Josie, ? you wont go back, on me like Germany has. Things, are pretty lively in town tonight., Everyone is down town waiting at, the newspaper offices for new of, the war. I guess you know we are, in it at last. Glad it is over as, the suspense bas been killing., ? regards, expecting to hear, from you tomorrow. Forever yours thfo, R.", in the top left corner, "P.O. Exceuse scribbling, as I have just climbed, up 6 flights of sairs, to the office to write, this Be good R.", "Miss Josephine R. (illegible), c/o Misses Dodd? (illegible), Second Ave, Seatte, Wash.".
