Bowl Plate
High-fired white ceramic; disk shape with a slight raise to the edge, indented centre section; all white with clear high-gloss glaze and the rim is trimmed in a line of gold; transfer prints, one on each side on the top of the plate, pattern is seven red-pink rose blooms with green leaves on a long stem with gray shadowing in the background; three Chinese characters plus in English the name of the restaurant, Rose Garden, Kamloops, B.C.'; on the reverse is stamped in a brown glaze, 'Made in Japan' with a five-petaled flower in the centre.
