Cross of St. George nearest the hoist and on the other is an embroidered family crest of a mermaid with a blue tail, which is located above the banner with printed "omnia providentre committe", all in lower case lettering inside. Omnia providentiae committo means "trust all to providence", this is the Meares family crest.
