Description
Dinner Menu
Commemorating the coronation of King George VI. Menu is from the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC and dated May 16, 1937. Consists of one piece of lightweight cardboard paper folded in half. Cover is coloured in gold, blue, red, white, and green. It features a pasted-on copy of a black and white photograph of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the coat of arms of Canada, and the title "His Majesty King George VI Coronation 1937". The emblem of Canadian Pacific Hotels is on the bottom right corner of the front cover. Menu is printed in blue ink. Back of menu has three black and white drawings of a Canadian Pacific ship, train, and one of its hotels which appears to be the Banff Springs Hotel. "Printed in Great Britain" on bottom right corner of back cover.
