Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal issued to William Wallace Burns McInnes by Buckingham House; red ribbon with white edges; two vertical blue stripes centre; obverse of medal features bust of Queen Elizabeth with crown; reverse features Queen Elizabeth II's royal cypher surmounted by crown with text: "QUEEN ELIZABETH II CROWNED 2nd JUNE 1953" around outer edge. With original presentation box and citation issued to W.W.B. McInnes, Esq.

Provenance
Coronation medal issued to William Wallace Burns (W. W. B.) McInnes. McInnes was a politician in British Columbia and the Yukon, and was a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. He represented Vancouver federally in 1896 and Port Alberni provincially in the British Columbian legislature for a period of five years. He practiced law in Vancouver and Nanaimo after being called to the British Columbia Bar in 1893. He was the son of British Columbia Lieutenant Governor T. R. McInnes.
