Sewing Machine
(a) black coloured cast iron; gold leaf; gold leaf, leaf design on the legs and both sides of the neck and a gold leaf geometric bar design around the base; silver coloured balance wheel with a black coloured plastic handle which is attached to the top shaft which is attached to the needle, three driving wheels, black and silver coloured spool winder in the front by the balance wheel; figure eight shaped base with a curved arm on the back, brass coloured badge in the center with the Jones' Sewing trademark of a phoenix rising from the furnaces clutching the arrow of industry and "JONES, HAND MACHINE" in raised lettering around the outside and a silver coloured disk on the front, silver coloured nickel face plate with two holes for oil, removable bobbin cover; adjustable presser foot. (b) light tone coloured wood; dark coloured stain; sliding removable front panel (missing); metal handle on the top; inside the box is a hole in the back left corner and the top right corner of the base, on the right side of the base is a rectangular shaped cut out; along the front top and bottom is a ridge where the sliding removable front panel slides into.
