Headdress
Two piece moulded and decorated green fabric covered headdress (A) with two detachable decorative extensions (B & C); hand stitched; front section is half of a low dome and back section is half of a high dome; these two sections are attached together by metal wires and two side flaps which extend from the front section, overlap the back section and are secured by cotton ties at mid back; both sections are decorated with sequins in shades of white, silver and green in all over designs of floral motifs, scrolls and border detailing; front and back sections have centered sequined designs and front has a raised sequined knob; all edges are finished with green piping; the back section has 2 side attached vertical fabric covered metal brackets which hold the detachable extensions and one centered horizontal fabric covered metal piece; the 2 detachable elongated extensions (B & C) are covered in green fabric with sequin scroll designs and border detailing; each extension has a base of coiled and flat wire shaped to fit into the vertical brackets located on the back section of the headdress; interior has a brown painted and glazed surface with visible wires from exterior attachments.
