Headdress
Yellow silk (?) stiffened and formed crown constructed in two pieces with added decorative embellishments; front piece is a low half domed cap-like shape with two back flaps which extend and slip under loops secured to the back piece, the back flaps are then tied together with grey tapes over the center back; the back piece is a tall half domed shape; extensions and layers of stiffened leaf-like and floral shapes are attached to both the front and back pieces; two tiers of stiffened bands with decorative cut out shapes surround the base and are topped by a central half-domed pearl bead medallion; all over decorations include gold sequins, silver bugle beads, and yellow soutache braid which outline and decorate the embellishments; wired small pearl beads and larger pearled glass balls on long wire supports are located throughout the crown; two large orange puff balls on spring supports are centered on top of front piece; two long orange tassels wrapped with blue threads are secured each side of front piece; lining is red cotton with a 4 cm black painted band at the interior bottom edge; metal and wire extensions from exterior decorations are visible in the interior.
