Description
Fishing Flasher
Half brass, half chrome (lengthwise) with four indented circles "Dodger" by Tom Mack. Flasher used when trolling for salmon on the B.C. coast. One end would have been connected to the rubber snubber by about 30' of nylon fishing line, at the other end of the flasher would be about 40" of nylon fishing line connected to "lure" which may be in the form of bait (like herring or herring strip) or a rubber or plastic hoochie which contained the hook. The circular motion of the flasher served both to attract the fish by the flash of metal in the water, and also give the lure action through the water.
