Brown coloured paper envelope; machine printed writing top left corner, "GAME COMMISSION, 567 BURRARD STREET, VANCOUVER 1, B.C."; black coloured type writer letting in the center of the envelope, "Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hernley, 233 East Farneman Avenue, South Bend, Indiana"; in the top right corner is a white and yellow coloured postage stamp? with light tone green coloured writing and images, "BC centenary logo, A Century, to Celebrate", VANCOUVER, 24 × '57 in a circle with leaves behind it, METER, COMPTEUR P.B., 150072, printed image of a stamp with, "CANADA, a crown, POSTES, a star, 03, POSTAGE"; "PRINTED MATTER", stamped in black coloured ink; end of the envelope is folded over and secured with two circles and a piece of red coloured string.
