Merchandise Box for Toy
Square red, blue and white cardboard box consisting of 3 pieces: the lid (part a), the box (part b) and the insert (part c) with cut-outs to hold and store the 8 piece glass toy tea set (see related objects); image on lid is a black and white colourized photograph of two children, a boy and a girl, sitting at a small table having a tea party; two ends of the lid have an image of a drawing of a little girl and boy sitting at a long table using the toy dishes for tea, ice-cream and cake; the other two ends of the lid have an image of the heads of two little girls and the text in dark blue: 'Manufactured by The Akro Agate Co. Clarksburg W.Va. - Printed in U.S.A. - Made in U.S.A..'; the same end images are on the box (part b); purchased at Barber's Toy Shop in Victoria by donor's parents; the donor's name, Margaret, is written in pencil on top of the lid and covered with clear adhesive tape.
