Description
Sugar Bowl
White to buff colored clay body with clear to white glossy glaze applied.Decoration consists of a mid-green band between two thin maroon color bands immediately below the rim and an identical set on the upper surface of the lid, approximately 1 cm. in from the edge. Also on the lid and the side of the bowl is a maroon color transfer image of two banners. The u pper one contains the words "Grand Forks", the lower one contains the word "Hotel" There are two lug handles on the sides of the bowl and a round knob in the center of the lid. These are highlighted by thin maroon color lines. The bowl has two chips out of the rim and shows some cracking in the bottom which has discolored the body underneath the glaze. On the bottom of the bowl and the lid is the maker's name and the distributor's name in maroon color.
