Provenance
The 30th Canadian Infantry Battalion (2nd British Columbia Regiment) was raised in Victoria, B.C. and recruited personnel from across British Columbia. The Battalion became the 30th Reserve Battalion and was then absorbed into the 1st Reserve Battalion. Although the battalion landed in the United Kingdom it did not serve as a unit on the Western Front.
